Revised plans for Standish announced
Bloor Homes, one of the largest privately owned house builders in the country, received outline planning permission for up to 300 new family homes at land to the south of Pepper Lane, Standish in February 2015. A reserved matters application that provided further detail about the scheme was later approved in January 2016.
The first phase of the development will commence imminently in accordance with the reserved matters permission. This phase will deliver 47 new homes. However, due to changes in the housing market, Bloor Homes is proposing to submit a revised planning application for the second phase of the scheme, comprising 304 new homes.
Bloor Homes’ existing planning permission is for 300 new properties, so a revised application will result in 351 new homes across the site; 51 more properties than the approved scheme. Whilst the layout of the revised scheme is similar to the consented scheme, Bloor Homes wants to allow local people to view the revised plans prior to submitting a revised application for land to the south of Pepper Lane in Standish.
